TeachOpenCADD is a teaching platform offering tutorials on central topics in cheminformatics and structural bioinformatics. The tutorials contain theoretical background and practical implementations using open source data and software. Implementations are available in two formats: Python-based Jupyter notebooks and GUI-based KNIME workflows.
We offer courses and seminars focused mainly on data driven drug design embedded in the Center for Bioinformatics at Saarland University. We also supervise students from bioinformatics, as well as computer and life sciences, in diverse individual research projects.

Artificial intelligence is a key technology in computer science, the success of which continues to spread and is by no means limited to computer science and mathematics. The goal of this course is to familiarize medical students with this new technology and to demonstrate various applications in medical research.
