RDKit UGM 2026

This September 16th–17th, the cheminformatics community gathered at Merck in Darmstadt for the annual RDKit User Group Meeting. It was a fantastic two days of insightful talks, open-source collaboration, and vibrant discussions with practitioners from across academia and industry, and excellent food.

We were happy to contribute to this year’s program by presenting our recent work. Michael Backenköhler gave a talk on challenges and potential solutions-surrounding machine learning on ChEMBL data, featuring our in-context learning approach, ChemICL.
